• Supine: Bring leg into 90/90. Put leg into slight external rotation. Resist active ER into neutral. • Can also be done prone. Bring leg into slight ER and resist active IR to neutral. • Positive Pain = tendonitis • Sensitivity: 88% and Specificity: 97.3% (supine position). • Sensitivity increased to 94% with negative results in the prone LATERAL HIP PAIN position if negative in supine.
